A few recent pre-wedding shoots

It's been a busy few months at OPHQ! Wedding season has well and truly started, in fact, I'm 20 weddings in, which is now half way through my season. There hasn't been much time for R&R (although I did sneak in a week in Lanzarote with the family).

This month alone I have photographed 6 weddings, 8 portrait sessions, 3 corporate events, had 3 full days teaching and had around 6 meetings with new couples… that's not to mention all the editing.

Here is just a small selection of some of the pre-wedding shoots I've photographed at some incredible venues including Blenheim Palace, Oxford city centre, Farringdon Folly, Hertfordshire Hotel and South Bank London.

I photographed SAID Business School's graduation meal in September at the beautiful Blenheim Palace, Woodstock.  They were most definitely a fun and lively bunch to photograph! The event was well planned and ran smoothly and they all really enjoyed their time at the palace.

At the end of 2011, I did a short day course with Pete Bristo at Blenheim Palace.  

For me, it wasn't about learning wedding photography as I've been doing this for a few years now, it was about getting to know Blenheim Palace and get some fresh inspiration on places to take my future bride and grooms, and for that reason alone, the course was great.

There were many new photographers on the course, so I just took a back seat and photographed the 'bride' from different angles than those of the main group, which resulted in a much more candid and natural feel.

I found some great locations, which have enabled me to photograph a few weddings at Blenheim Palace now and make the most of the grounds available.
