Another Blenheim Pre-wedding Shoot

Oh I do love it at Blenheim.  It's so pretty and quiet (if you stay away from the crowds) and provides the perfect backdrop for some loved-up photographs!  And Matt and Kirsty are clearly loved up... they are super cute to photograph too, full of fun and playfulness.  I cannot wait to photograph their wedding later in the year.

Victoria Park London Pre-wedding photo shoot

I met with Hilary and Russell in London earlier in the week to meet Russell for the first time and photograph their pre-wedding photos in preparation for their wedding in September.  

We went along to Victoria Park, London, which had an amazing Chinese themed garden and canal walk, both of which were ideal for their fun and energetic photo shoot.

I very much look forward to their wedding, I have a feeling it will be a lot of fun!!

Ellie and Shane - Abingdon Medieval Abbey Buildings, Oxfordshire

Having photographed several of Ellie and Shane's friends weddings over the year, I feel I have gotten to know this couple quite well, so I was extremely excited and honoured that they wanted me to photograph their's too, and I just knew it was going to be a lot of fun!

My day started with the ladies, at Ellie's parents house. Ellie had a 'slumber party' with her bridesmaids the night before, taking her back to her teenage years, so they were all full of excitement when I arrived.   After photographing the ladies having their hair and makeup professionally applied, I joined the men at St Aloysius Gonzaga Church in Oxford (The Oxford Oratory). I've mentioned many a time how much I love this church; it feels so hidden from the city centre, despite being right there amongst it all, and the inside is just breathtakingly beautiful.  Shane and his men joined me shortly before the Bride arrived, so I was able to grab a few photographs of them before they went in.

Following a beautiful service, we all made our way over to Head of the River to jump on a boat for a 2-hour journey to Abingdon. This was a great opportunity for Shane and Ellie to see their guest (all in one location) and enjoy some lovely sunshine before their evening commenced. Lamb catering provided a delicious spread on the boat, followed by the wedding breakfast - I can't recommend them enough, they are an amazing catering company.

The reception was held at Abingdon Medieval Abbey Buildings, a really rustic wedding venue and a great option for those looking for something a little different.  I joined Shane and Ellie for a walk around the Abbey Gardens to get some portraits of the two of them before they joined their guests for drinking and dancing.

Laura and Simon - Cotswold Hotel and Spa, Chipping Norton

Laura and Simon balance each other perfectly and you can see how happy they are when in each others company.  They married at The Cotswold Hotel and Spa,  a beautiful venue set on a golf course near Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire.

Laura was so calm when I met with her in the morning. Her room was buzzing with energy from the various Bridemaids, Mum's and guests popping in and out, and she took it all in her stride. Simon, however, was quite a ball of nerves, so I found it no surprise to find him in the bar area!

The ceremony was beautiful, taking place in the venues large and bright marquee.  Laura's brother looked so proud as he walked her down the aisle and you couldn't wipe the smile from the couple's faces.

Laura, Simon, myself and two of their party went for a spin on the golf buggies down to the lake for some photographs - and I have to say, Simon, you did ever so well! As someone who confessed he hated having his photographs taken, he was patient and smiley.  Laura, well she is just a natural and clearly the camera loves her!

On our return, the party commenced.  Lovely speeches were delivered before the meal and an amazing band partied the guests away into the night.
