Baby Photography Oxfordshire

I'm not a baby photographer that positions the baby in all these different poses like 'the frog'... don't get me wrong, I think those photographs are absolutely beautiful and take a great deal of patience and skill from the photographer. However, as my passion is weddings and portraits, it's not a course I have ever attended.

I love props though, and I think they work amazingly when the baby is on their back or front... so I guess I would say I photograph babies in a simplistic way!

A Family Photo Shoot - Bicester

I met up with this gorgeous family in a woodland near Bicester to photograph some special photographs for their grandparents wedding anniversary.  The four photographed are cousins with an obviously special bond, so photographing them was a pure pleasure.

Large group photographs in Wroxton.

I met with Becky and her family to photograph a large family group shot for her husband's 40th Birthday.  It was a great chance for the family to get together and we photographed lots of combinations so that they have lots of memories to take forward.

Dan and Emma - Save the Date Shoot

Dan and Emma gave me a challenge - photograph and aerial shot of them for a save the date card.  Simple you think... well at 5'1 (and 3/4) and with only a 3-step ladder to hand, this was a tough one! It consisted of photographing them in several parts and then some photoshop wizardry to put the image together. The results below are a combination of around 14 images!  Not bad, hey!?

Family photography in Oxford

I love lifestyle shoots for families, it's so much more natural and relaxed than studio photography. So when Robin contacted me to photograph her family for her Dad's Birthday present and wanted photographs that were calm and vintage looking I knew that it was going to be a wonderful photo shoot.

We went up to the folly in Faringdon, which was the ideal setting for them as the poppies were lacing the surrounding corn fields, the sun was shining, with a slight breeze and it was nice and quiet up there.

Sneak peaks of February and March shoots! (UPDATED!)

I've had such a mega-busy few months, what with tax returns, updating the new website and preparing for this years weddings that blogging has, once again, been put on the back burner. However, to keep my regular readers (and I thank you for being 'regular readers') up to date on my photographic life, here are a few sneaky peeks to keep you going...

March and April portraits

As with January and February, the weather was unseasonably good in March and April, though a lot brighter!  Jo and Aaron took the opportunity to have some pre-wedding photos at Iffley Locks, close to where they will be getting married later in the year. They eased into having photos taken very nicely, so the session was well worth it for the otherwise camera-shy couple.

The baby boom continued into April, with Hannah having her baby and another close friend, Louise, also giving birth.  I took the opportunity to get some shots of baby Lily and Gethin with some new props I have recently purchased, including an adorable bear hat.
